Our Featured Pet . . . DARCY

DARCY is a 4 yr. old Tortie Lynx Point Siamese who was rescued from a local kill shelter. She is very vocal and enjoys being petted as long as it is on her terms. DARCY will need to be in a one-pet home as she is not fond of other cats nor dogs. She is front-paw declawed, spayed, up-to-date with vaccines, microchipped, and will receive 30 days of prepaid ShelterCare Pet Healthcare Insurance at the time of adoption. DARCY`s adoption fee is $125.00.

Who We Are

Fancy Feline Rescue of the South, a non-profit, no-kill rescue licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, is a small rescue organization with a big heart for the "Fancy Feline" breeds -- particularly Persian, Himalayan, Exotic, Ragdoll, Birman, Maine Coon, Siamese, and other CFA- and TICA-recognized breeds and mixes. Our goal is to provide tender, loving care and safe-haven for those cats that are abandoned, abused, neglected, or no longer wanted by their owners, and to find appropriate, adoptive forever homes for each. While in our care, Fancy Feline Rescue of the South strives to give one-on-one socialization, providing the individual attention these cats so often need. We work strictly out of no more than ten exclusive foster homes. Those foster home are carefully screened, home visits are made, and each foster family is required to have no more than six foster cats at any time, thereby allowing individual attention and plenty of TLC for each cat. Fancy Feline Rescue of the South is dedicated to providing individual attention and the best care possible for our cats. We evaluate each cat as to temperament, fully vet before adoption, and place them with the best adoptive home to meet the needs of the specific cat.

Fancy Feline Rescue of the South is an Affiliate Rescue of CFA Purebred Rescue d/b/a Purebred Cat Breed Rescue.

Adopting a Fancy Feline for Your Own

We encourage you to contact us by email or by phone to request an Adoption Application. Once your completed application is received by us and approved, we will contact you to set up an appointment for you to meet with your possible new adoptive family member. Our adoption fees range from $125 to $200, and include spay/neuter, rabies and FVRCPC vaccinations, feline aids/leukemia combo test, deworming, flea and ear mite preventative, bath, grooming, nail clip, 24PetWatch microchipping, and 30 days of prepaid ShelterCare pet health insurance. Microchip and pet health insurance registration is automatic at the time of adoption. (Fancy Feline Rescue of the South reserves the right to deny any application for any reason, with or without cause.)

How You Can Help!

Our biggest expense is our veterinary bills. To provide just the minimum of veterinary care, an average of $100 is required to pay veterinary costs per cat. Our next biggest expense is the premium quality food we feed to ensure proper nutrition. If you are interested in donating and/or sponsoring any of our Fancy Felines, please contact us. We provide several different levels of sponsorship:

And best of all, you can designate how you wish your donations to be used -- whether dedicated to one of our Fancy Felines for their continued care until adoption, or generally for the care of all our wonderful cats. Or if you prefer to make a one-time donation, we will also use those funds however you designate.
